Athletics Ireland has released its registration figures for January. It
shows many clubs haven't made it out of the starting blocks yet and
clubs are reminded that unregistered athletes are NOT covered by AAI
insurance, even in training, and are also NOT eligible to compete in
AAI events.

Registration Figures
In
mid-December, Athletics Ireland released it's
year-end registration
figures. Clubs are reminded that 2015 registrations should be
completed asap. There is a "grace period" of a few weeks, to allow
sufficient time for re-registrations, whereby insurance cover
continues,, pending registration. This "grace period" does NOT
extend beyond January, and only covers TRAINING it does NOT cover
competition. In any case athletes MUST be registered for
competition purposes.

your event(s) more easily using the new search boxes, e.g. see what AAI
Registered 5k's are on, without wading through all the other
events. Only interested in T&F? or Sports, use the drop-down
filter box . Give it a "Test Drive"

New IAAF Qualification System and Standards
for 2015 World Championships, Beijing, Aug 2015
The IAAF has announced a new qualification system
for next year's World Championships. Of particular note are the
elimination of the 'B' standard and changing the 4x1500m to a medley
relay.
