In June Michelle placed, for which she receives the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month award.

She has since run both an Olympic and World Championship qualifying time for the same event. At the national track and field championships, in August, she took the Silver medal, in the 5,000m, while, in September, she won the Evening Echo Ladies Mini Marathon.  Last Sunday, she won the Cork County Senior Cross Country Championship.

The award was presented at a function in the River Lee Hotel, Cork, on Friday October 16th, 2015.
