Code of Ethics Course
Participants
Twenty nine representatives, from six Cork clubs, attended this Code of
Ethics and Child Safeguarding course, held in the Rochestown Park
Hotel. The course was presented by Athletics Ireland Child
Welfare Manager, Kieron Stout. The high attendance numbers, and
the spread of clubs, in terms of numbers, and geographically,
demonstarates teh growing awareness and importance of training and
awareness in this crucial area.
This is a compulsory
certified course for all sports leaders, and certification is valid for
three years. The course is accredited by the Irish Sports Council.
