Summary of Options for Non-Members of a registered AAI/ANI Club
You have limited options, so will need to be quick off the mark.
If you have run all four races in the Ballycotton Summer Series, you
can relax a little – you have the same options as a club member.
If not, you probably need to be online early, on Tuesday December
8th. If you can’t, for whatever reason, it might be an idea to
have someone do it for you.
If You Miss Out in the Initial Rush
If you miss out on the two online entry slots, you still have the
option of hoping that your entry will be among the first 200 non-club
postal entries opened.
A much more civilised and stress free way of entering is simply join a club. You will find a list of Cork Athletics registered clubs on the Cork Athletics website, or nationally on the Athletics Ireland website. Those on Northern Ireland will find club details on the Athletics Northern Ireland website.
“But I’m not good enough to join a club….?”
Don’t worry, most clubs will welcome you with open arms. We all
started with one foot in front of another. Very, very few are
gifted with natural talent….the rest of us have to work at it, and a
club is a great place to bring you on pretty quickly. So….check
it out!
