AAI Replaces Annual Membership Card with Membership for Life Card
Up to now, clubs have been issued with annual membership cards, by
Athletics Ireland. However the old card, whereby one had a Year
Registration Number and a Life Registration Number is changing and each
athlete will have only one number - the Life Registration Number.
This will be used on all entry forms and, where required, on entry to
races abroad.
Athletics Ireland statement:
"Athletics Ireland will begin issuing Membership Cards For Life to
clubs over the coming weeks. The cards will be posted to the club
secretary (or the person designated to accept the cards) . Each
card will be attached to a cover letter and enveloped
individually. If you would like to check who the person within
your club to whom the cards will be posted please email registrations@athleticsireland.ie
The cards for our Juvenile members will be addressed to
Parents/Guardians for distribution.
From now on, your Life Registration number will be the number that
you use for competition entries etc. This number will only work
when you are registered for the current year.
Please remember, this card will not be
reissued on an annual basis. If you need a replacement card
please apply to registrations@athleticsireland.ie
A small charge will apply to replace lost cards."
