Schools Cross Country Course 2015

Course: 

The course comprises of two separate loops, 1500m and 2000m, used in varying combinations to form the prescribed distances. The course is accessed via the GAA spectator stand entrance.

Entries

The entry fee for teams is €15 and individual fee is €4. (Cheques payable to ‘South Munster Schools Athletics’). To save unnecessary hassle on the day fees should be posted
beforehand. Entry lists and fees should be sent to: Mr Liam O’Brien (obrienlm@eircom.net) Gortacrue, Midleton, Co. Cork
The closing date for Entries is Tuesday January 27th.  Entries may be emailed (preferred) or posted by Tuesday Jan 27th

Registration

Registration will take place, from 12:00, in the Race Office, in the Stand - See Course Map. Competitors numbers available from 12:00 noon

1:10pm Minor Boys 2000m (1 Long Lap)
1:20pm Junior Girls 2000m (1 Long Lap)
1:35pm Junior Boys 3000m (1 Small then 1 Long Lap)
1:50pm Intermediate Girls 2500m (2 Small Laps)
2:05pm Intermediate Boys 4000m (3 Long Laps)
2:20pm Senior Girls 2500m (2 Small Laps)
2:30pm Senior Boys 5000m (2 Small then 2 Long Laps)

Teams

Girls races: Teams of 6 with 3 to score
Boys races: Teams of 8 with 4 to score
You may enter more than one team in a race. Athletes must compete in their own age group. However, a team may be completed by the inclusion of an athlete from the age group immediately below.

Qualifiers for Munster Championships:

First 4 teams in each grade and any athlete who finishes in the first 15 in each race.
Holders of perpetual cups are requested to return them to the race office.

Parking

From Melbourne Road, proceed west towards the inner roundabout. Proceed straight through and take either the first or second left, parking on one of the parking-tiers behind the stand at the CIT track.  From there proceed down the hill on foot to the GAA stand.
