A highly successful Athletics Leader course was hosted by St Catherine's AC, in Conna, last Saturday. Host club St Catherine's AC had over sixteen (16) club members attending the course, which is definitely a great boost for both the club and area going forward!  The course was requested by St Catherine's AC who formed both the driving force behind the course, and also the nucleus of the attendance, which was supplemented by members of St Nicholas Ac and Grange-Fermoy AC.

Frank Lynch, who delivered the course, said the attendees were "a fantastic and a very enthusiastic bunch!"

It is great to see another Coach Education course being held out the regular CIT venue, particularly following so soon from the Athletics Leader course held in Bantry last November.  Clearly there is demand from clubs both for this course and also to hold them in locations 'close to home'.  If your club is interested in holding a one-day Athletics Leader Coach Education course, please contact Athletics Ireland's Regional Development Officer, This email address is being protected from spambots. The Athletics Leader course can be held in any location with a hall or gym, or other suitable venue. If you club is interested in a course but cannot muster enough numbers, other clubs can be included.
