It was with great regret and sadness that we learnt of the death, on Monday June 17th 2024, of young Carraig na bhFear AC athlete, Sarah-Kate O'Meara
The Officers, Officials and members of Cork Athletics County Board extend their condolences and deepest sympathies to the O'Meara family; Sarah-Kate's parents Tony and Diann, sisters and brother; Emily, Isobel, James and Grace, and their extended families

The death has occurred of Sarah-Kate O'Meara
Bakers Road, Gurranabraher, Cork
O’MEARA (Cork) On 17th June 2024, unexpectedly, but peacefully, with her loving family by her side, in the Mater Hospital, Dublin, SARAH-KATE, Bakers Road, Gurranabraher and member of Glen Rovers Camogie Club. Treasured daughter of Tony and Diann, loving sister of Emily, Isobel, James and Grace. Beloved granddaughter of Kathleen O’Leary and Eileen O’Meara and the late Joe and James and dearest niece of the late Sarah-Jane. Sadly missed by her heartbroken family, uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends
Reposing at her home on Friday (21st June), with visitation from 4.00pm with Prayers at 8.00pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday (22nd June) at 11.00am in the Church of the Ascension, Gurranabraher. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully

It is with great sadness that we must share the news of the passing of one of our junior members Sarah Kate O’Meara
Sarah Kate’s untimely death has left the entire club and wider community devastated
Sarah Kate was a talented athlete who was always full of life and laughter and it is hard to comprehend her loss
Sister of members Grace, Isobel and Emily, and friend to so many, Sarah Kate’s numerous athletic achievements in the white and green singlet include All-Ireland Cross Country Bronze and Munster Indoor Silver medals. Sarah Kate was also an important member of the Glen Rovers Camogie Club and we know that they too will be feeling incredible pain and sadness
Everyone at Carraig na bhFear AC sends their love and condolences to Diann, Tony, and the O’Meara family and Sarah Kate’s wide circle of friends at this immensely sad time
