Help needed Stewarding and Marshalling tomorrow. Course  Stewards are needed by 11am (First Race: 11:30am), while Marshalls are needed for Traffic and Parking duties, from early on

As of Saturday afternoon, we are short approx. 10 stewards - and they WILL make a difference. We have commitments from approx. 40 already

Cork Athletics stepped in at a late stage after the event, which had been scheduled for another county, had to move, due to waterlogged course, following recent prolonged heavy rains. It event was moved again, from the new venue, for the same reasons, and Cork stepped into the breach, hence the short notice!

From Carrigaline:  Take L2494, which will bring you to the venue


From Cork: Take R600 towards Cork Airport. Continue directlyonwards, through Riverstick village, on R600 Kinsale Road, until Carrigaline turnoff, approx. half mile on Cork side of Belgooly village. Take L3209 until it merges with L2494
Coming from Belgooly, the course is on the right-hand side, approx, 3 miles from R600/L3209 junction


Please ensure that Bus Driver is aware of this route, as the normal direct route from Riverstick has been severely damaged.  Please allow extra time to reach the venue

Roads are not in good condition on other two approach roads, due damage as a result of recent rains. Please do not use these roads

Parking

There is ample parking inside the grounds
Parking on Roadway is PROHIBITED

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
