Athletics Ireland 2024 Registration Opens Monday November 15th 2023
Athletics Ireland Registrations for 2023 closed today, November 15th. The Registration System will reopen, for 2024 Registrations, on Monday November 15th 2023
2023 Registrations remain valid for 2023 Membership, Competition and Insurance purposes until December 31st 2023, however no further registrations can be made for the 2023 year
2024 Registrations, will open on Monday next, November 15th 2023. These registrations will remain valid, Membership, Competition and Insurance purposes until December 31st 2024
What This Means for 2023 Registrations
Entries made via the Athletics Ireland Entry4Sport Competition Portal between now, November 15th, and Monday next, November 20th, will continue as normal, using 2023 Registrations, however any unregistered athlete cannot, as always, be entered, nor can they be registered until at least Monday next.
From Monday next, anyone registered for 2023 OR 2024, will be covered for Membership, Competition and Insurance purposes, and can, until Dec 31st 2023, be entered via the Entry4 Sport Portal. From Dec 31st, only those registered for 2024 will be valid
A small, but valid, point is that the total 2023 registrations for each county will be understated, probably by a small amount, as we near year-end. This is significant, as it may affect each County's allocated Athletics Ireland Congress/AGM/EGM delegation numbers, and the Quorum for such meetings, as these are related to each county's year-end Registrations total
Registration Closures
In 2022, Athletics Ireland announced that the Registration system would close on December 14th, and reopen on December 20th, however the system closed on November 26th, reopening about a week later.
This year, the System Closure was flagged, upon enquiry, for November 15th and has closed on schedule. 2023 Registrations have closed over 6 weeks befor year-end
