Cork Athletes Feature at Belfast Milers Club Meet

Several Cork athletes featured at today's Irish Milers Club Meet in Belfast, with wins for Bandon AC's Phil Healy (200m) and Fionn Harrington, along with Michelle Finn, Leevale AC (3000m Steeplechase). Healy improved her lifetime best in the women's 400m A race, running 51.50 secs.
Former Bantry AC man, Darragh McElhinney, now with his University team, UCD AC, was another winner, in the men's 1500m A race. While the women's 800m A Race saw Louise Shanahan, Leevale AC, lower her PB to 2:01.44, elevating her from 12th to 9th in the All-Time Irish standings.
Many of the Cork athletes, along with a host of others, were aiming for European Under 20 and Under 23 qualification times.
