On Saturday February 2nd, two Belgooly AC athletes, Hannah Falvey and Zoe Conway, were part of a small group of Irish athletes who travelled to Scotland, to take part in the Scottish Age-Group Indoor Championships, at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow.

Both athletes performed very well, with Zoe finishing 6th, in the 800m, in a new PB of 2:30.57. She won her 200m Heat, in 29.06 sec, and placed third in her 200m semi-final, with another PB of 29.03 sec.

Hannah competed in the 60m and 200m. In the 60m, she won her Heat, Semi-Final, and the final, setting a new PB and CBP (Championship Best Performance) of 8.03s in the process.

Hannah also ran in the 200m, again winning her Heat (26.59 sec), Semi-Final (26.11 sec) and Final, improving the old CBP in every round. Hannah won the final with a run of 25.77 sec, to set a new CBP by over a second, from the old mark of 26.83 sec. It is noteworthy that this was Hannah's first ever 200m in competition!
