Start Times:  Women:  2.00pm      Men:  2.40pm



Parking/Changing/Check-in 

Car parking is availalbe on site.

Changing rooms and check-in will open from 11am


Overview:  This is a one day Intervarsity Championship open to all IUAA members. The hosting of the event is rotated between member colleges each year, and is held in the spring. The trophies are presented at the Intervarsity dinner, which is held that evening, in a local hotel.

Each College may enter teams of up to 14 female, and 16 male, undergraduate/postgraduate students, of which up to 4 of these may be 'one year down' athletes. The first 4 women and the first 6 men on each team score points for their college. The college with the lowest points total wins. In addition, up to 10 male and 10 female 'Substitute' athletes may also run.


Intervarsity Banquet

The Banquet will be in The Ambassador Hotel, on Military Hill, St Lukes, Cork. 4 course meal and DJ. Neat Dress. Tickets will cost €35. Start time 7pm (SHARP), with payment, in advance, by bank transfer. The trophies will be presented during the Intervarsity Banquet.

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
