Change of Venue
The venue for tomorrow, Friday's,
South Munster Schools' Cross-Country Championships has been changed to
the Munster Agricultural Society grounds near Curraheen village.
Location
Venue is the Munster Agricultural Society's Showgrounds (The Summer
Show) in Curraheen.

Directions
Serving westbound traffic on N40 driving on the South Ring Road,
continue over the Kinsale Road Flyover, then the Sarsfield Road
Flyover, and the Bandon Road Flyover, leave the N40 at the next Exit,
Exit 2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit on to
Curraheen/Bishopstown (West) (L2222). The entrance to the Cork Summer
Show is on your right.
Eastbound traffic should leave at junction 2 - you will see the
Greyhound Stadium on your left as you approach the Exit. At the
roundabout at the top of the slip road, take the third exit, over the
flyover and on to another roundabout. At the roundabout, take the
2nd exit on to Curraheen/Bishopstown (West) (L2222). The entrance to
the Cork Summer Show is on your right.
Course Map

Timetable - Starting at 13:10pm
The first race will start at 1:10pm.(to allow for some people showing
up at CIT). A provisional map of the course is attached. Because of the
extremely heavy nature of the ground conditions reduced race distances
will be applied for all age groups. The first 6 individuals will
receive their medals immediately on finishing their race. Team medals
can be collected at the administration tent as soon as results are
posted up.
Teams
Girls races: Teams of 6 with 3 to score
Boys races: Teams of 8 with 4 to score
Athletes must compete in their own age group. However, a team may be
completed by the inclusion of an athlete from the age group immediately
below
Changing Facilities
There will be no changing, showering or toilet facilities available.
Participants are advised to come dressed for competition, with
tracksuit etc., and have a dry set of gear for afterwards. Buses and
cars will be parked adjacent to the course. Teachers and parents, and
other spectators are well advised to bring wellies!
Parking
There will be adequate hard standing for cars and buses. A one-way
system will apply. Follow stewards directions.
