Cork County Council announced its annual CEP Grant Scheme today, Friday June 15th. The City equivalent has yet to be announced

Cork County Council is inviting applications from Community and Voluntary groups (and that includes Athletics Clubs) under the Community Enhancement Programme 2018.

This is an opportunity for clubs to access funding for capital projects, to enhance existing facilities in disadvantaged areas, or to start, further advance, or complete their projects.

Several clubs already have started developing grounds, and several others are in the throes of getting their own projects off the ground. This grant scheme could be another avenue available to the club.

The 2018 scheme is funded by the Department of Rural & Community Development, with support from the Local Community Development Committees (LCDC) of Cork County Council

There are two types of grant available:

  • Small scale capital grants, to a maximum of €1,000
  • Capital grants over €1,000

Eligible Projects

Examples of eligible Capital Expenditure include:

  • Youth Clubs or facilities
  • Sports / Recreation Facilities Development
  • Development and Improvement of Community Centres, and common areas
  • Once off maintenance of Premises (excluding regular maintenance)
