"Ciara came 2nd in the national senior indoor pole vault championship held at Abbotstown Indoor Track. In the process she vaulted a new personal best height of 3.40m. The following week Ciara set a new championship best in when winning the Munster Under 19 Pole Vault title by clearing 3.30m."
The award was presented at a function in the River Lee Hotel, Cork, on Monday April 16th 2018
