West Muskerry AC's Stephanie Cotter placed third in the Under 20 Women's race at the Antrim International Cross-Country, in Greenmount, where she finished in 14:39. Stephanie led Ireland's Under 20 Women's team, on 50 points, to the Silver medals, behind Scotland, on 19 points.
St Catherines AC's Laura Hayes placed 16th overall, in 15:01, in the combined U 17 and U20 Women's race, helping Ireland to the Silver medals, with 35 points, behind Scotland, on 19 points. Youghal AC's Lucy O'Keeffe was just 7 seconds behind her, finishing in 15:08, in 21st place overall.
Paul Hartnett, Midleton AC, took individual Silver in the Boys U17, and finished in 11th place overall, in the combined U 17 & U20 race, in 19:59, helping Ireland to Silver, on 24 points, just behind Scotland, who shaded it, with 21 points.
Leevale AC's Tommy Connolly, running on the Under 17 team, running 20:12, was close behind Paul, helping Ireland secure team Gold, with 60 points, ahead of Wales, who had 79 points.
In the Senior Men's International, Leevale AC's Mark Hanrahan ran a fine race to finish in 10th place, on 24:19. Kenyan Timothy Cheruiyot won in 23:12

Antrim International XC and Celtic International 2018
It was a great day for Ireland at the Celtic International 2018 which took place on Saturday 6th January in conjunction with the Antrim International Cross Country.
There was success in the girls and boys U17 and U20 races at the Celtic International with individual podium medals on the day. Cian McPhillips won the Boy’s U17 race followed by his teammate Paul Hartnett (Midleton AC) who both led the Irish to their only team victory of the day, with Wales and the Ireland Development Team placing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In the U20 men’s race, Jamie Battle of Mullingar Harriers won his race with Clonliffe’s Sean O’Leary coming in 2nd. The U20 Celtic team finished 2nd overall, 3 points behind Scotland.
In the women’s U17 Aimee Hayde of Newport AC took the silver medal for the Irish Celtic Team. Stephanie Cotter (West Muskerry AC) also claimed 3rd place in the women’s U20 race. The Irish Celtic Team placed 2nd, behind Scotland.
Two-time winner of the Antrim International, Fionnuala McCormack (Kilcoole AC) led the race in the first of three laps in the women’s senior race, before the Ethiopian Foyten Teskey took the lead, who in the end took silver behind Margaret Chelimo Kipkemboi. McCormack finished in 6th place.
Following McCormack, Kilcoole’s Una Britton placed 10th, Maria McCambridge came in 13th and Siobhra O’Flaherty of St Laurence O Toole’s finished 16th just ahead of Catherina Mullen of Metro St Brigid’s 17th, Laura Crowe, 18th and Irish champion Shona Heaslip 19th, both from Riocht.
Ireland had 3 finishers in the top 10 in the Men’s race. Hugh Armstrong Ballina AC finished in 7th position in the Men’s Senior 7.2km race. Behind him was Kevin Maunsell who finished 9th and Mark Hanrahan of Leevale AC came in 10th. David Flynn of Clonliffe Harriers was just outside the top 10, finishing in 13th place.
