Help Sought for CIT GOAL Mile 2017

Can You spare 30 Minutes on Christmas Day?

CIT Track, Bishopstown

Monday December 25th 2018

cit goal mile helpers

Can you spare 30 Minutes of your time, on Christmas morning? If you can, we're looking for volunteers to help out in organising the GOAL Miles at CIT Track.

This is a Charity Event, with 100% of all donations going directly to GOAL.  Nobody gets paid any fee, salary or expenses for this - everything is 100% voluntary.

The GOAL Mile runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm, with miles being run off every 20 to 30 minutes, or so, depending on the finish of the previous Mile, and numbers waiting to do the next Mile.

There's nothing strenuous involved.  The usual 'suspects' will still be involved, but have sought additional help this year.  "Duties" involved may include filling in and distributing Finishers Certificates, trying to keep things orderly on the track [previous experience in herding cats might be of use! ;) ], and supporting participants and spectators.

Nominally, we're suggesting half-hour (30 minutes) 'block' for volunteers, from 10:15am to 12:45pm, but you can stay longer - or shorter - if that suits you.  If you can spare the time, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and remember to say what time(s) suit you. If you find, on Christmas day, that you can cover some time, just turn up......please!

NB: You don't have to be involved in athletics at all to help out

This event is not an Athletics Ireland registered event, however Cork Athletics is acting as facilitator for this charity event. The event is covered by GOAL's Public Liability insurance and all volunteers and participants are covered by the policy.
