Bandon AC's Phil Healy, representing UCC and Michelle Finn (Leevale AC), representing University of Limerick, are among the strong twelve person Irish Universities athletic squad, at the 2017 World University Games, which start next Sunday, in Taipei, Taiwan.
The athletics program begins on Wednesday 23rd. The Cork girls enter the action on Wednesday and Thursday, with Michelle Finn first to go, in the Women's 3000m heats, at 4:45am Irish time, while Phil Healy goes in the Women's 200m heats, at 3:15am Irish time on Thursday.
