Mallow AC's Paul Moloney, the sole Cork representative at these Championships, ran a huge PB, in the M35 5,000m Track race at the 20th European Masters Championships, in Aarhus Denmark today. There were two Heats, with individual heat times deciding overall placings. Paul ran in heat 2, run during heavy rain, which turned out to be the fastest of the two heats, with the first six athletes home being the six fastest athletes overall. Paul's time of 15:26:11 gave him 5th place overall, just 0.74 seconds off fourth place. Amazingly this is Paul's debut season on the track.
