The respective meet records of 2.30m in the mens event, set by Olympian Jamie Nieto, USA, in 2008, is expected to be under threat on July 18th. Similarly the womens record of 1.92m set by Amy Acuff, in 2007, could also fall.

Standing next to the bar that these athletes jump over, it is difficult to comprehend that it is even possible to get your entire body over it!

Cork City Sports invites spectators to locate themselves at the standing area at the top bend at CIT Athletics Stadium, on July 18th, to get a full appreciation of what these great athletes can accomplish.
