On Friday December 2nd, a packed house was present to hear a two hour long 'Fireside Chat' with Boston Marathon pioneers Bobbi Gibb and Amby Burfoot, along with professoinal dancer and Boston Marathon Bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet. A group chat/interview/discussion was held with 1974 Boston Marathon winner, Limerick man Neil Cusack, Irish Runner Editor Frank Greally and Top Irish Marathoner, ...and winner of the 2016 Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon...Gary O'Hanlon.
The evening was MC'd by Ray O' Connor, who kicked off the evening with an outline of his own journey into running and, ultimately, Ultra-Running.
The evening was rounded off by Anna Sotar, from Team Hoyt Running Chairs MA, will said a little about Team Hoyt Blade Wheelchairs, and the donation from Rick & Dick Hoyt's chair to Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon
