The Marathon was launched, with a photoshoot on The Marina, today. The Cork City Marathon is managed on behalf of Cork City Council, by Davis Events Agency, while on the day the Marathon course has been managed and stewarded, since its revival in 2007, by Cork BHAA, who cover the first two legs of the marathon, from the start to Mahon, and Cork Athletics County Board, who cover the remaining 60% of the course, from Mahon to the Finish in Patrick Street. Strangely, neither Cork BHAA nor Cork Athletics County Board were present or aware of the launch

It remains to be seen if any changes to the course are planned for 2022.  Normally such changes are flagged well in advance of race date, but no doubt we will find out in due course

Athletics Ireland Permit

At this point in time, no event permit is in place, but, no doubt, this will be submitted in due course, as always
