Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month - September 2019 - Award Citation

This afternoon, Friday November 1st, 2019, Michelle Finn, Leevale AC was presented with the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month Award for September 2019

Michelle Finn, Leevale AC, is the recipient of the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month award for September 2019.

At the Berlin ISTAF meeting, Michelle set a new Irish 2000m Steeplechase record of 6:16.67 secs. A week earlier she produced a new Championship Best time when winning the Irish Senior title at Morton Stadium. Subsequent to her Irish record Michelle, ran a solid race at the World track and field championships, in Doha, Qatar. For good measure, Michelle recently won the Cork County Senior Cross-Country Championship for the fifth consecutive time.
