Cork Fixtures will have final confirmation, at it's Monthly County Board Meeting, on Wednesday September 4th. Athletics Ireland & Munster Athletics fixtures will be updated .....whenever (available)

At the top of the list are two fixtures, the Cork Athletics Cross-Country League. This is an innovation, introduced by Cork Athletics, in 2018. They have proved to be a nice less-competitive introduction to the Cross-Country season, for Juveniles and Adults alike. These events will be held on Saturdays, starting at 1 pm. The first in the series, will be held on Saturday August 31st, starting at 1pm

General

• Entry forms may be downloaded on Cork Athletics Website

• Only Registered Athletics Ireland Athletes may take part

• Club Colours must be worn

• Pacing of Athletes is NOT permitted

• Clubs that have fees outstanding from the Track and Field Season will NOT be permitted to take part

• ONLY Entries, by email, on (unmodified) official forms will be accepted – Entries by text or phone will NOT be accepted

• Late entries will NOT be accepted

• Please respect our venues!

• Entry Cheques / Postal orders, made payable to "Cork County Board AAI", should be sent to Mary Meagher, Cork AAI, 3 Whitethorn Drive, Station Rd, Blarney, Co. Cork

Senior

• Womens races will precede the men

• Team events – 4 to score, with the exception of the Masters Men Over-50 & Over-65, and Masters Women Over-45, where it is 3 to score

• Masters Categories start at Over-35, Over-40, Over-45, etc

• Master Athlete Category is determined by their age on the day of Competition

• The Junior and Under-18 races will be run together (First event on the programme starting at 12pm) Athletes may enter both events but, if so, MUST be entered for both events!

Juvenile

• Athletes born in 2012 (Under-8) may take part

• Athletes must have been be entered in the 'A Championships' to be eligible for the 'B Championships'

Open Cross-Country Meet

This is a bit further afield...but may be of interest to someone looking to get in some competion experience before the XC season starts in earnest
