Death of Teddy O’Sullivan - Carraig na bhFear AC

Teddy O’Sullivan R.I.P. - Condolences

The Officers and Officials of Cork Athletics County Board extend their condolences and deepest sympathy to the family of our esteemed colleague Teddy O’Sullivan.  Teddy was one of the founding members of Carraig na bhFear AC and served as club president for the past decade. He was an active member on the Carraig na bhFear AC committee over the years. He hosted numerous cross country-county and Munster events on his lands over the years.

The death has occurred of Timothy (Teddy) O'Sullivan
Island, Carraig na bhFear, Cork / Mourneabbey, Cork

 

O'Sullivan (Carraig-na-bhFear and late of Mourneabbey) on August 4th 2019, peacefully, at his residence, Timothy (Teddy), Island, Carraig-na-bhFear, surrounded by his loving wife Angela (nee O'Callaghan) and family Victor, Mary (Ring), Imelda (Hayes) and John, brother of the late Jackie and Peggy (Kirby). Sadly missed by his wife, family, brothers Denny and Sonny, sister Maura (Walsh), sisters-in-law, sons-in-law Liam and Padraig, daughters-in-law Breda and Trish, adored grandchildren Áine, Tadhg, Aoife, Cormac, Siobhan, Angie, Billy, Leo, Susanna, Eoghan, Eimear, Darragh, Amy, Lauren and Erica, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Rosary on Monday evening at 8pm at his residence (Eircode T34 DP93). Lying in repose on Tuesday evening from 4pm to 7pm followed by removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Carraig-na-bhFear. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to Dun Bolg Cemetery.

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
