Munster Endurance Performance Squad

Athletes have been selected for this year’s Regional Endurance Performance Squads based on their results over the past 12 months. Congratulations to those athletes selected. The squads will aim to bring top young athletes from across each province together for opportunities to train collectively. Whilst this undoubtedly has some performance benefits, perhaps more importantly it gives athletes a chance to get to know each other and can only help build a strong vibrant endurance community that athletes will want to be part of for years to come. The first squad activity takes place in September, with a weekend camp.  Athletes who wish to be involved MUST register by August 13th

Camps will include a mix of practical training sessions, theory and input from older international athletes, and will be led by coaches who have at least Level 2 coaching standard. Camps will run from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Athletes attending the camps should be healthy and ready to train, and will be expected to adhere to the code of conduct, similar to those in place for Irish athletes at International Championships. The training will be appropriate for the time of year. For enquires please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Note. The cost of the camps will be subsidised significantly, but the price of each camps is dependent upon the costs incurred at each venue. Only athletes that are on the lists should register, as other athletes will not be invited to the camps, and their fees will not be reimbursed.
