Unfortunately, Niamh O'Connor was disqualified in the women's 10,000m race walk
Irish women's 4x100m team of Alannah McGuinness - Yemi Talabi - Katie Monteith - Patience Jumbo-Gula finish in fifth place in 46.52, in Heat 2, unfortunately that will not be enough to progress
Darragh McElhinney wins a superb Bronze medal for Ireland, in the 5000m at the European Under-20 Championship. The Bantry AC athlete ran his absolute heart out. 18-year-old Darragh McElhinney joins elite company, by becoming the third Irishman ever to win a 5000m medal at the European Under-20 Championships - the first for 28 years! He took 5000m Bronze in 14:06.05
