The Cork City Sports Athletic Person Award for the Month of February goes to Eamonn Flanagan (Abbey Striders AC)
At the National Senior Indoor Track & Field Championship all three medalists in the Women's Pole Vault (Clodagh Walsh, Ciara Hickey and Orla Coffey) were coached by Eamonn. This must be a unique occasion. Apart from the undoubted talent of the athletes concerned, this achievement is a testimony to the dedicated coaching skills that Eamonn has brought to the event, and the group of athletes under his tutelage.

The March award for the Cork City Sports Athletic Person of the Month goes to Annette Quaid (Leevale AC).
At the World Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships in Torun, Poland, Annette secured the silver medal in both the 400m and 800m, in the F40 category. She set a personal best of 58.90 sec in the 400m final.
