Start of UW Invitational 5,000m 2019

The pacemaker set a very slow pace, and one of the professional athletes went out very hard. Fearghal had to run wide to progress. He decided to make a break from the group, at the half-way stage. Afterwards, Fearghal said that he was "... happy with result", as he has only been building up his training since Christmas following injury last Autumn. Fearghal has set his sights on breaking the 14 minute barrier, in the foreseeable future. Fearrghal's next track race is in two weeks. He says that he "... feels good", and is "getting into good shape"
