Cork City Lord Mayor, Cllr. Mick Finn presents Alex O'Shea with a memento to honour his epic achievement
Cork's running fireman, Alex O'Shea, a member of St Finbarr's AC, recently completed an epic and gruelling 32 Marathons in 32 counties, in just 16 days, in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs. The purpose of Alex's endurance feat was to raise awareness of Irish Guide Dogs and to raise much needed funds for the charity.
Alex raised a stunning €31,438.13 in the process, with donations still flowing in, was honoured with a Civic Reception, hosted by Lord Mayor, Cllr. Mick Finn, in Cork's City Hall, on Thursday November 7th 2018.
