Top Seeds for Charleville Half-Marathon 2018

Once again, an impressive field has been assembled for Sunday's Charleville International Half-Marathon, with no less than ten (10) Sub-70 men, while a further dozen are 2knocking on teh sub-70 door.  On the women's side, the field has more of a local flavour, with three of the top four representing Leevale AC, while Siobhan O'Doherty will be trying to upset their march.

Weather Update Saturday 8am

There's little as unpredictable as the weather - what a difference 18 hours can make. Yesterday afternoon, it was looking a bit bleak for tomorrow's start. Now the forecast rain has disappeared, and the wind forecast was decreased significantly, so shouldn't (hopefully) be too bad. However with a northerly aspect to the wind, it'll be quite chilly, particularly on the way out, but it'll, pretty much, be behind you all the way back

Rain at 10am....Gone! Wind at 10am

Weather Outlook (Friday 3pm)
Twenty four hours ago, the weather outlook was simply dreadful. Thankfully, while it's still over 40 hours out, and really too early to be definitive, the weather situation appears to be improving all the time.

On Thursday evening, it was looking like there would be extremely heavy rain, combined with winds gusting 30kph.  At 3pm Friday, forecasts have the winds abating considerably, while the heavy rain should have passed through. If it is still raining at race start, that should clear within the hour. With winds from the north, it is likely to feel cold, particularly considering the warmer weather that we've been experiencing for the past few months.
