Race Directors

RunEvents is the new road running and multi-terrain licensing system powered by England Athletics and designed for Race Directors.

Race Directors will need to have an account on RunEvents to apply for a road running or multi-terrain licence. 

If you previously had a Race Director account on runbritain your account will have been migrated in to the RunEvents platform and you should have received an email with instructions on how to activate your account and log in. 

If you have not received this you can use the forgotten password functionality on our new RunEvents platform to reset your password and log in. 

As a Race Director you need to be part of an organisation that is affiliated to England Athletics in order to apply for your licence. Read more about the benefits of being affiliated to England Athletics. If your organisation is not already affiliated to England Athletics you can apply to affiliate by completing our online application form.

The RunEvents platform 

The RunEvents platform has been created to help race organisers to deliver better events. 

The new platform includes: 

• Key information for completing and obtaining your licence 
• A comprehensive online entry system with all the features you may need, including merchandise sales, early bird discount functionality and tiered pricing where required 
• List of all licences (past, present and future) and their current status 
• Post race forms, including submission of results to Powerof10 
• A set of comprehensive fact sheets, templates and guidance notes in a Resources library 

As soon as a licence application is made and before the licence is granted, the race details are added to our new England Athletics Events Finder so that runners can find your event.

Roster Athletics 

England Athletics has partnered with Roster Athletics to provide an innovative and user-friendly online entry and competition management system for our sport, which may be useful for smaller events. 

Clubs, associations, leagues and event promoters that are affiliated with England Athletics can start using the Roster Athletics platform today and benefit from the following features: 

• Online entry system 
• Online results website 
• A meet management app, perfect for organisers of small road or multi-terrain races that are not in a position to buy or rent a full chip-timing system (or similar), you can now use the Roster Athletics meet management app and its manual timing feature instead.
