Provisional Results of Cork Athletics 10 Mile County Championship 2017

The Cork Athletics 10 Mile County Championship was incorporated in the Cork City 10 Miler Road Race 2017. The event was organised and hosted by St. Finbarr’s AC, and was held over the Centre Park Road / Marina / Blackrock - Lakelands Walkway, and the Blackrock section of the former Cork - Crosshaven railway line, finishing outside Lee Rowing Club.

10 Mile County Championship Results

Results are subject to verification of Athletics Ireland registrations. The County Championship is confined to registered Athletics Ireland athletes. Masters medals are awarded to the first three masters across the line, irrespective of age category.

Host club, St Finbarr's AC garnered three of the twelve championship medals on offer, with John Meade taking Silver, while Garret Casey also took silver, in the Masters. Grange-Fermoy went one better, taking four medals in all.  John Murphy won Gold in the Masters Men, with Gary Clerkin taking Bronze, while, in the Senior Women, Joan Ennis took Silver, with Ellen-Lewis Hanley winning the Bronze. Youghal AC took home two medals, both in the Masters' Women category, Deirdre Ansbro taking Silver, and Louise O'Brien winning Bronze.
