"Following Elaine's untimely death, we are holding a 5K run/walk in Doneraile Park to rasie funds for Marymount Hospice. Marymount looked after Elaine so well in her last few weeks and gave her great peace of mind when she needed it most."

"On Saturday, 7th September, the third annual Elaine Lehane Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place in beautiful Doneraile Park. If the last two years runs are anything to go by, this should be another very memorable event.

So far, the Elaine Lehane Memorial Runs have raised over €16,000 for the marvellous team at Marymount Hospice.

The run is organised in association with Mallow AC, with an AAI permit granted. There will be plenty of prizes on the day, with a special prize for the person from Mallow AC 2019 Couch to 5K programme who shows best improvement over his or her inaugural 5K, which was the Dan Byrne Memorial 5K at the end of May. Registration will be from 10am, and the run will start at 11:30am. Elaine died in February 2017, after a battle with breast cancer, and spent her last few weeks in the wonderful care of the team in Marymount. Please support this wonderful and vital service."
