Information for Juvenile B Track and Field Championships 2019



  1. All athletes must be registered Athletics Ireland Members
  2. Athletes are confined to their own age group
  3. Athletes are confined to a maximum of two (2) events
  4. Under-16 athletes may not compete in Under-17 4x4 relays
  5. Athletes born in 2012 may not compete
  6. Only competing athletes and officials are permitted on the track and infield area, i.e. inside the trackside boundary fence
  7. No encroachment of the Finish Line is permitted – This is CRITICAL as it interferes with the photofinish process
  8. All clubs are asked to provide two (2) officials. Only those nominated will be refunded their admission fee, if they work at 2 or more events
  9. Closing Date for the B Championships is Tuesday 21st May. No late entries, and No entry on the day
  10. Entries submitted on modified forms will be returned.  No entries will be taken by phone
  11. Photographers: All cameras MUST be registered on the way into the track, and photography/video shall comply with Athletics Ireland Photography and Film Guidelines
  12. B competition is for athletes entered in “A”s, who did not win a medal, and new athletes  (Athletes registered after 1st May)
  13. All athletes must wear footwear and club colours
  14. Please respect all property at C.I.T  
  15. There will not be a shop in CIT this year
  16. Clubs are responsible for keeping their areas clean of litter
  17. Please remove all YOUR litter.  There is a substantial charge levied by CIT for clean-up after events
  18. There will not be any Hammer or Discus competitions this year, due to cage damage. County medals will be awarded based on the Munster T&F results
  19. No Dogs Permitted! With Sole Exception of Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs
  20. Parents and Coaches are reminded that it is THEIR responsibility to keep their children and athletes safe. This includes preventing them form climbing fences and other structures, hanging over railings, etc.

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
