8. There will be No Hammer competition due to unavailability of the cage. (The Hammer Cage was damaged, during high winds, some months ago – The netting had not been lowered by Cage Users after they had finished their session)

Information - Juvenile T&F Championships 2019

  1. All athletes MUST be registered Athletics Ireland Members
  2. Athletes are confined to their own age group
  3. U/16 athletes may not compete in U/17 4x4 relays
  4. Athletes born in 2012  may NOTt compete
  5. Competing athletes and officials ONLY are permitted on the track and infield
  6. All clubs are asked to provide 2 officials who will be refunded their admission fee if they work at 2 or more events
  7. There is no limit to the number of events per athlete, but competitions will NOT be held up waiting for the return of any athlete from another event
  8. Closing date is 29th April.  No late entries will be accepted, and No entries will be taken on the day
  9. Entries submitted on modified forms will be returned.  No entries will be taken by phone
  10. All entry fees must be paid by 3rd May
  11. Photographers: All cameras must be registered on the way into the track, in accordance with Athletics Ireland Photography and Film Guidelines
  12. 1st 3 teams relays U/12 to U/19 qualify from county champs. 9/11 qualify from Munster for National championships
  13.  The B competition is for athletes entered in “A”s and who did not win a medal, along with new athletes (Athletes First registered after 1st May)
  14. An Officials meeting will be held at 10am each day, in the Red Brick Building
  15. All athletes must wear footwear and club colours
  16. Please respect all property at C.I.T
  17. Shop - There will not be a shop in CIT this year
  18. Clubs are responsible for keeping their areas clean of litter.  Please bring your litter away with you. There is a substantial clean-up charge levied on Cork Athletics, if the venue is littered. Please ‘Pull’ anyone you see littering the venue – if the venue is littered, we are all ‘Tarnished with the One Brush!’.
  19. There will not be Hammer or Discus competitions this year, due to cage damage. - County medals will be awarded based on the Munster T&F results

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
