AAI Games & National Senior and Junior Combined Events Championships 2022

The 2021 AAI Games and Irish Life Health National Senior/Junior Combined Events Championships will take place on June 12th & 13th in Morton Stadium, Santry. The timetable will be released after entries have closed.

The AAI Games has been awarded a European Athletics Permit for 2021. The AAI Games will now be a Category D event for World Ranking Points, and will offer athletes a valuable opportunity to gain points towards Tokyo Qualification.

 

Event Information

    Limit of 2 events max per athlete in AAI Games
    2 Series will be offered in the 100m & Short Hurdles.
    2000m SC may be run instead of 3000m SC.
    Limited number of entries available for each event.
    Athletes who enter after event limits are exceeded will be placed on a waiting list, limits will be looked at mid to late week and be rebalanced if possible, to allow maximum participation.
    Athlete cannot compete unless their AAI membership is up to date


    Closing date for entry 7th June 23:59


    Competition will be subject to strict COVID 19 prevention protocols.
    All athletes attending will be required to complete an electronic health questionnaire on the day of the event


    Due to government regulations on event capacity, the event will be closed to all media, coaches, and spectators. The full event will be live streamed on the Athletics Ireland YouTube channel


    Entry to the stadium will only be permitted at the stated time (TBC)
    Athletes will be required to leave the stadium immediately after their event is complete


    All Athletes who have been overseas in the 14-days prior to the Event must quarantine for 14 days, unless a negative PCR test result is returned no less that 5 days after arrival into Ireland. This applies to athletes returning to Ireland from overseas via Northern Ireland


    Travel to Ireland from specific designated States is subject to mandatory hotel quarantine. For up-to-date information on designated states please check gov.ie

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
