All money raised is going to Goleen Foróige Club



Walkers

Starting time for competitive walkers is 10am. There will be a prize for the 1st woman and 1st man to reach the finish line in Crookhaven. Start line is same as for main race. Fun walkers are welcome to start when they have registered, as in previous years. All walkers will be eligible for spot prizes.


Under 16s

Under 16s will be bused, from the Community Centre, to the 2.5 mile mark, no later than 10.20am, for their starting time of 10.30am.

Runners


Runners will start at 11am. Prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd man & woman, plus prizes for all other categories, including a prize for the 1st local man and 1st local woman


Prizes for the 1st local Male & 1st local Female runners finishing outside of the top 3, this is confined to permanent residents of the Goleen & District Community area, and not attached to a club.

Under 16s – €5

U16's must have registered no later than 10:15am, so as to get to the start line by 10:30am.

 


Water Stations

  • Water stations will be provided along the route.
  • Refreshments will be provided to all participants at the finish line in Crookhaven
  • Presentation of medals will take place as soon as all participants have finished.

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
