View from Start Line
Starting outside teh amusement arcade on the Quay, the course heads
south towards the Trident Hotel, turning right, and right again, onto
Lower O'Connell St. The section along Lower O'Connell St and Main
St. will be familiar to many, as the finishing section of Belgooly AC's
Kinsale 5, held each August Bank Holiday weekend.
View from 1k Mark
The 1k Mark is outside Giles Norman Photography, on Main St.
View from 1 Mile Mark
The 1 Mile mark is about half-way up the only hill of note on the
course. Just on the left, after the 1 Mile mark, is a sign for
The Abbey Well, a (relatively) hidden antiquity in kinsale.
View from 2k Mark
The 2k mark is in the centre of the mini-roundabout by
Kinsale Community School, and the long gradual downslope after the hill
will be most welcome.
View from
3k Mark
The 3k Mark is just after the turn onto the R606 road alongside the
Bandon river Estuary.
View from 2 Mile Mark
The 2 Mile mark is about half way between the previous turn and the
bridge over the river Bandon.
View from 4k Mark
The 4k mark is shortly after the bridge
View from 3 Mile Mark
The 3 Mile mark is about 1/3rd of the way between the Trident Hotel and
the finish line
The Finish Line
The finish line is right at the entrance to the town park.
