There
was a
huge turnout for the Cork County Juvenile “B” T&F and relay
championships
in CIT on 25th May. The relays were well
supported with Midleton AC,
Bandon AC, Liscarroll AC, Leevale AC, Doheny AC, Riverstick-Kinsale AC,
Belgooly AC, Youghal AC and Carrig na bhfear AC among the medal winners.
In
the “B”
championships the competition was very good with some outstanding
performances.
It was two or three weeks after the “A” championships and as a result
of more
training there was a marked improvement in standards from most
athletes. It was
great to see proud parents leave CIT with their children having won
County
medals. The championships are run voluntarily by people who give of
their time
unselfishly and a big thank you to all who helped in any way to make it
a happy
experience for our young athletes.
