Start
The start line is close to the brow of the hill, on the Bandon By-Pass
Immediately after teh brow of teh hill, there is a long, steady fall for over half a mile.
Turn left at the bottom of the hill
1 Mile
After the previous left turn, there is an almost imperceptible upslope, past the 1 mile mark
Following a slight downslope to the smaller bridge, turn immediate left onto the inner by-pass
Back at the mini-roundabout by the GAA complex, turn left again.
You are now heading up a long gradual slope, lasting just over a mile
Continue straight on up the slope
2 Mile Mark
Turn left, off the main road. From here on, apart from one short
climb, it is level ground to start with, followed by long steady
slopes, making for good running.
3 Mile Mark
Continue straight through the crossroads
4 Mile Mark
The 4 Mile Mark is in the middle of a very long downslope, as can be seen from the image - make hay!
Finish Area
The approach to the Finish Area is still slightly downslope, and straight, making for a fast finish
