Standing Orders

·                The proposer of a motion may speak for 2 minutes.

·                The proposer of the motion must be a delegate from the club/division that submitted the motion.

·                Delegates may speak once for 1 minute on the motion.

·                The proposer may then speak for a further two minutes, in summing up.

·                The Chairman may ask the proposer to sum up at any time and put the motion to a vote.

 

Motions

Administration/General

1.    Officers on the County Board and County Juvenile Committee may only serve a maximum of three consecutive years in the same position.                  CARRAIG NA BHFEAR

2.     Juvenile Athletes (Under 19 and younger) may not transfer from their current club, except in cases where there is a significant change of residence. GRANGE FERMOY

 

Competition

  1. That double entry fee apply to athletes entering on the day of competition for non-juvenile championship competitions.         BOARD OFFICERS

TRACK AND FIELD

  1. That in County & Munster Juvenile T & F & Munster Juvenile Indoor Championships (individual), athletes be confined to competing in a maximum of 3 events per day. (County & Munster) LISCARROLL

CROSS COUNTRY/ROAD

  1. That
    1. Athletes named on county teams notify the county team manager of their availability or unavailability before the day of competition.
    2. On the day of competition, athletes named on country report to the county team manager one hour before the start of their race.       BOARD OFFICERS
  2. That the county juvenile B cross country championships be run on a separate day to the county juvenile A cross country championships.    CARRAIG NA BHFEAR
  3. That the distance for the County Intermediate and Masters Cross Country be 7000m for men and 4000m for women.       BOARD OFFICERS
  4. That the distance for the County Junior Cross Country be 5000m for men and 2500m for women. BOARD OFFICERS
  5. That a graded inter-club league competition replace the current county novice, intermediate and senior inter-club competitions. BOARD OFFICERS
  6. That team medals won by an athlete will not affect that athletes grade.  BOARD OFFICERS
  7. Cross Country (and similar off road events) - Where it is not possible to measure courses using a Jones counter or cross-country measurement wheel, that courses shall be measured using GPS devices.  Pacing a championship course shall not be acceptable, unless confirmed by other means.

Guidance note: It is recognised that, by their nature, cross-country courses will not be as accurate or precise as road courses, nevertheless every means should be used to ensure an acceptable degree of accuracy.   (County, Munster & National)      EAGLE

  1. That the Board organise training/certification seminar(s) to ensure that each area of the county has easy access to AAI certified course measurers.       EAGLE
