Two Cork Athletes, Avril Millerick, Youghal AC, and Sean Lawton, Durrus AC, represent Ireland, on the respective Irish Women's and Men's Under-20 Teams, at tomorrow's Celtic Cross-country International, which will be held in King George V Playing Fields, Renfrew, Scotland

Athletics Ireland select squad for Celtic Cross Country
Athletics Ireland have selected a strong squad to represent Ireland in the revived Celtic Cross Country Championships in Renfrew, Glasgow, Scotland this weekend. The group travel to Scotland on Friday and compete on Saturday
Included are four U17 teams - two male and two female. The teams have been selected from the National U16 Championships in Gowran, Co. Kilkenny and are made up of eight girls and eight boys. The first four in the National Championships form the Celtic team and the next four the development team
These young athletes will gain excellent experience as they start out on their journey to be the next group of successful Irish athletes in Cross Country running and build on the great success over recent years at European level
Both National Novice Cross Country Championships make the U23 teams, as Lucy Holmes and Michael Murphy look to have strong performances
