October end-of-month registrations for Cork Athletics stand at a record 8,540

 

2023 Registrations Set to Close on Wednesday November 15th

2023 Registrations will close on Wednesday November 15th. 2024 Registrations will then open on Monday week, November 20th

What This Means

Anyone whose registration was completed during 2023 (effectively at any time between Nov 30th 2022 and Nov 15th 2023) will be covered for Insurance and Competition purposes until December 31st 2023

Anyone who is registered, or whose registration is renewed, on or after November 20th 2023, will be covered for Insurance and Competition purposes until December 31st 2024

So, for Competition Purposes, anyone who is registered for 2023 or 2024 will be covered for Competition entry during the overlap period until December 31st. After this, from January 1st 2024, everyone must be Registered for the 2024 year - Anyone registered on or after November 20th will be covered for 2024

Bandon AC and Leevale AC continue 'neck and neck' at the head of the table, swapping places this month, with 593 and 568 Registrations respectively.  Togher AC (415), remain third, followed North Cork AC (407), and Midleton AC (377.) Youghal AC (384) drop to 6th, followed by Grange-Fermoy AC (336), Carraig-Na-Bhfear AC (331) and St. Catherine's AC (319). A further five clubs; St. Catherine's AC, Belgooly AC, Carrigaline AC, St Finbarrs AC, Cork City AC, and Tracton AC all exceed 200 registrations, while another 17 clubs top the 100 members mark. The number of clubs exceeding 100 registered members has risen to 31 (55.4%)

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
