Race Information

Start line – near Ballincollig Allotments
Race Carpark – Lidl Carpark
Wheelchair/handbike Athletics – Allotment carpark

Contribution - €3 individual €5 Family
All Finishers will receive light refreshments and a cert

3k & 2k is a participation event, no results will be recored or published.
3k event is open for walkers and joggers.
2k event is open to handbike and wheelchair participants
Both 3k and 2k are run at the same time.

Wheelchair & Handbike participants are asked to contact Ballincollig AC 087 1436121 to ensure the club has set aside enough parking spaces.

 

The 3k will follow the Michael O Donovan 3k Running Route but will start near the midway point of the route near the allotments.  The 3k  route is on track, gravel and tarmac pathways.

The 2k route is on tarmac and will start near the finishline. 2k athletes will head towards the weir where they will join the 3k athletes at the midway point.  Both 3k and 2k participants will be finishing at the same point.

About Us

Cork Athletics County Board is a constituent member of Athletics Ireland. Cork Athletics is the governing body, administering athletics, track and field (T&F), cross-country (XC) and running in county Cork. The Board comprises elected representatives of constituent athletic clubs and running clubs. Cork County Board AAI organises Championship races and competition, including road, track & field (T&F) and Cross-country (XC), at junior, juvenile, senior and masters levels, and selects representation for the county. In addition, training and education is provided for coaches and officials. The Board also regulates the Athletics Ireland race/event permit (licence) process for county Cork.
