Cork Athletics  - Cork County Board Day 2 of Autumn/Winter Technical Coaching Days

Day 2 of the autumn & early winter Coaching Series, held by Cork County Board, will beld on Sat next, September 20th, in CIT

Report on Technical Coaching Day 1, Sat 6th September:

Day one of the Cork County Athletics Board technical coaching days got off to a great start in the sunshine at the CIT, on Sat the 6th of September. Thirty five athletes from Blarney, Belgooly, Carraig na bhFearr, Glanmire, Liscarroll, Midleton, North Cork, Old Abbey, Skibbereen and Youghal took part. The day started with a group warm up. Then the athletes split into groups, by event, where they received technical coaching in their chosen event, in line with the aims of the sessions. There was very positive feed back from both athletes and coaches all who enjoyed their day. One very informative comment was “I didn't know there was so much technique in throwing a shot..... I thought that you just threw it”

The aim will be to have very tech savvy athletes in Cork by the end of the coaching series.

Next coaching day Sat 20th of September 3 to 4 in the CIT check in 2.45 all welcome, athletes, coaches and parents.
