Cork Athletics  - Cork County Board Announces Autumn/Winter Technical Coaching Days

Cork County Board will hold eight technical coaching days over the autumn & early winter, in Hurdles, High Jump, Shot, Discus, Javelin and Hammer

Following on from the success of last year, Cork County Board, Athletics Ireland, will commence a new, expanded, Winter Coaching Programme, in September, at CIT Track.

Winter Coaching Series

The aim of the sessions is to raise the technical standard in these events among athletes, and to provide access to coaching and equipment in these events.

This year there will be a total of 8 sessions of two hours each, from 2 to 4 pm, on Saturday afternoons.

Eligibility

This is open to registered members of Cork Athletics affiliated clubs. Parents, club coaches are welcome to come along and get involved. Masters athletes who wish to take part in any session are also welcome -  it is not just confined to the juveniles.

A charge of €5 per day will apply with a max of €10 per family of three or more, registration from 1.45pm each day.

Each of the disciplines; Hurdles, High Jump, Shot, Discus, Javelin and Hammer, will be covered on each of the training days.

Registration will be at 13:45pm each day, in the red brick building adjacent to the track (at the south end of the stand)

NB: Athletes must be warmed up prior to the scheduled 14:00 start.
Athletes who are late, and/or have NOT completed their warmup routine, will NOT permitted to take part, so it is essential that athletes arrive on time.
