Coaches Flock to Upskill in Cork

On a very positive note, 2016 has seen a dramatic rise in the numbers attending the Athletics Ireland coach education programmes in Cork.

Athletics Ireland and Cork Athletics are consistently trying to both upskill existing club coaches, as well providing the environment to encourage new coaches to help out in their clubs.

In February 2016, we held two courses in CIT, Cork, Athletics Leader & Assistant Coach course. We had in excess of 60 coaches in attendance. The coaches were guided through the programmes, with the help of Coaching Ireland Tutors, Chris Regan & Frank Lynch.

Athletic Leader and Assistant Coach courses are the first steps on the ladder in the Coach education pathway 

Coming up shortly, in Cork, is The Level 1 coaching Course - This is an excellent opportunity for coaches who have completed either the Athletic Leader, or Assistant coach course, to further develop their coaching skills. The course starts on Friday 8^th April, at 6.00pm, in CIT. Further details and registration.
