Updated Cork Registration Figures as at April 17th 2016

Cork Registration figures stand at a record 5,872, an increase of 1.019% on last week's 5,764. The corresponding figure for April 30th 2015 was 5,548

2016 Athletics Ireland Registrations are now Due

Clubs are urged to register their athletes without further delay. A small number of clubs have yet to register any athlete and one club has yet to register the minimum number of ten athletes.

NB: The "grace period" which covered re-registration, ended on January 31st. All athletes competing in Championship or representative events MUST be registered. Equally, all coaches, athletes and officials must also be registered.

Any athlete or official who remains unregistered is NOT covered by Athletics Ireland insurance. Therefore such individuals should be covered by the respective club's own separate insurance.
NB: In the absence of any insurance being in place, club officers may be personally liable.

Club Registrars are reminded that there is a new Registration System in operation.

Overall Cork Club Standings

With a total of 3,057 registered members, the eleven largest clubs outnumber the remaining thirty four clubs, who total 2,815 registered members. Indeed the fifteen smallest clubs , with a combined total of 543 members, only just surpass the largest club, Bandon AC's, total of 530 members.

Very little change this week - Ballymore-Cobh AC remain at the head of the standings, with Eagle AC staying ahead of the group of Midleton AC. Youghal AC, Leevale AC, Mallow AC and Togher AC.
